The Educational Partnership Center (EPC) at UC Santa Cruz builds educational equity and creates opportunities for students in the communities we serve, by forging partnerships and empowering students with knowledge, tools, and support systems to access and succeed in college. In light of the murder of six Asian American women in Georgia on March 16, 2021 and the long history of physical and verbal attacks on Asian Americans throughout our country and in our own region, the Educational Partnership Center reaffirms its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The EPC stands wth all people regardless of their race, religion, social class, immigration status, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or lifestyle. This is a time for our community and for America to join together in the difficult task of making justice a reality for all.
This is a historic moment and opportunity to learn about ourselves, about racism that we may or may not have experienced directly, and about what we are capable of doing about racism in the future. By understanding that racism and injustices threaten the communities we serve, we must speak out, stand up, and take action to fight for a better future for our students and families. We invite you to join us in this important work.
