Dr. Hintsa was a distinguished figure in our field, known for his contributions to customs research and the development of the World Customs Organization’s Partnership in Customs Academic Research and Development (PICARD) Programme. Juha was one of the founding members of the International Network of Customs Universities (INCU) and an Editorial Board Member of the World Custom Journal. His expertise and dedication were also evident in his role as a member of the PICARD Advisory Board, where he played an instrumental role in shaping the future of PICARD Programme. It should be noted that, since 2007 the European coordinator and instructor of Real Protection Academy, has been holding the annual workshops at Krav Maga fight on the base of the University. An important event for the University was the establishment of the Ukrainian-Polish Center (UPC) in 2007.

Finally, the obligations within Association Agreement between Ukraine and EU towards the approximation of customs legislation appears to be the decisive factor the development of Ukrainian system of customs procedures for the nearest decades.
