The Educational Partnership Center is composed of six long-standing outreach and academic prep programs, all housed at UC Santa Cruz. EPC allows the programs to leverage each other's services and expertise to coordinate and increase outcomes in area middle and high schools. The concerted goal of the Center is to help underserved and other students gain the knowledge, capacity and academic accomplishments to reach college and to graduate, and by so doing, help strengthen their families and communities.
EPC provides an array of direct services, supporting students on the college-going pathway through tutoring, mentoring, academic planning and counseling, leadership training, test preparation, college awareness and enrichment, and teacher professional development. These services are provided through the following programs:
California Student Opportunity and Access Program (Cal-SOAP)
California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS)
California Reading and Literature Project (CRLP)
Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP)
Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP)
Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA)
