Weekend Activities
Students may sign up for any of the planned weekend field trips and activities. Those who do not participate in the activities outlined below will stay on campus and participate in alternative activities. While on field trips, students must stick together with other COSMOS students and staff. Students are required to check in with COSMOS staff at specific times during the field trips.
Most weekend field trips occur on Saturdays. COSMOS reserves Sundays for Residential Life programming such as: hikes, sports, studying, and quiet activities in the dorms. Religious services are available for all interested students.
Please note that COSMOS weekend field trips are subject to change each year. 2010 field trips to be announced soon.

Saturday, July 11th
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
Students will have an opportunity to spend a day at one of the top seaside amusement parks, ride roller coasters, play games and explore the wharf.

Movie Night and Beach Bonfire
Participants will check out downtown Santa Cruz, can choose to attend a movie, and spend an evening at a COSMOS beach bonfire making smores!

Kayaking off the Santa Cruz Coast
Students will have an amazing opportunity to kayak throughout with otters and seal in the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary.
