2007 California Nobel Laureate Dinner

nobelbanner Designed specifically for talented and motivated high school students, the California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS) is a 4-week summer residential program for high school scholars with demonstrated interest and achievement in math and science.

The sixth annual California Nobel Laureate Dinner was held on Monday, November 19th, at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, California. The black-tie event honored 11 of California's more than 100 Nobel laureates awarded with the Swedish prize since 1923, as well as showcased science & math projects presented by 18 high school students enrolled in UC's California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS). The California Nobel Laureate Dinner is organized and hosted by the Consulate General of Sweden Los Angeles and the University of California, not only to recognize California's rich trust of Nobel laureates, but also to call attention to the importance of math/science education, and to showcase the work done by our COSMOS Nobel Laureates in training. Way to go everyone!
