Its academic offerings span 150 disciplines, with more departments ranked in the top 10 nationally than at any other public or private university. UC admissions recognizes that students take different routes when preparing for college and is determined to familiarize all students with an interest in attending a UC with their admissions requirements

Cluster Field Trips

excursionField trips offer students behind-the-scenes access to many regional resources utilized by UCSC researchers. Some of the places that COSMOS students may visit include: Long Marine Lab and Seymour Discovery Center, Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, Natural Bridges State Beach, UC’s Lick Observatory, Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, and Año Nuevo State Reserve. Field trips will vary between clusters.
