Academic Enrichment
Discovery Lectures
Renowned scientists and engineers will hold talks on a plethora of research topics. These talks focus on current research in the speakers field and are designed to introduce students to a wide variety of subjects, expanding their learning outside of their cluster topics. Discovery Lectures are held Monday and Wednesday mornings, and are open to the entire campus community.

Cal Teach Admissions
California Teach is a University of California program for undergraduate science, math, and engineering majors. Its goal is to increase the number and retention of new, highly qualified math and science teachers in California. UCSC's program offers undergraduates paid K-12 internships, academic and career advising, teacher professional development and mentoring, and other support towards becoming a credentialed teacher.

UC Admissions
The University of California is one of the finest research universities in the world. Its academic offerings span 150 disciplines, with more departments ranked in the top 10 nationally than at any other public or private university. UC admissions recognizes that students take different routes when preparing for college and is determined to familiarize all students with an interest in attending a UC with their admissions requirements
Cluster Field Trips
Field
trips offer students behind-the-scenes access to many regional resources
utilized by UCSC researchers. Some of the places that COSMOS students
may visit include: Long Marine Lab and Seymour Discovery Center,
Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, Natural Bridges State
Beach, UCs Lick Observatory, Stanford Linear Accelerator Center,
and Año Nuevo State Reserve. Field trips will vary between
clusters.
